Shipping Dangerous Goods
Pack-It will automatically classify your items as Dangerous Goods at the time of comparing shipping options or creating a consignment with your provider. Only carriers that allow dangerous goods will be available to ship with.
Deliver-It calculates the Aggregate Quantity/Size of your packages based on:
- If the quantity type is kilograms, it multiplies the number of units by the container’s weight.
- If the type is liters, it uses the container’s volume and the Dangerous Good Container Liter Cubage Factor on the Pack-It Setup page to determine the total volume.
The Number of Containers is determined by dividing the quantity of an item in the package by the maximum quantity of the container, as specified by the container’s “Qty. Per Unit of Measure”.
If you need to change any information about your Dangerous Goods on the Consignment, you will need to do this within your shipping providers portal.
