Items on a document can be grouped into Packages in any combination. This can be done in several ways:

Automatically pack based on Item Setup

Items that have been setup for easy packing can be packed in just one click see Setup Items for Easy Packing.

  1. Locate and open the Document you wish to pack.
  2. Select the Pack It action. This will automatically create Packages and pack the document lines according to the setup on the Item.

Packing by document lines

Each document line can be packed into a new or existing package.

  1. Select the lines you wish to pack.
  2. Select the Pack Lines… action.
  3. Select the Packaging Option: If you selected Create New Package then select the Package Unit of Measure for the new package otherwise select Assign to existing Package then select the Package No. you wish the lines to be assigned to.

Manually creating packages

You can manually create packages from either the Document or Packages page.

Manually create packages from the Document page

  1. Select the document line you wish to pack.
  2. Specify the Package No. of the Package you wish to create, this will automatically pack the entire document line into the new Package.
  3. Drill-through to the Package Lines page by selecting Qty. Packed.
  4. Specify the Quantity you wish to pack into the Package.

Manually create packages from the Packages page

  1. Select the Packages action
  2. Create a new Package and specify the Package No. and Unit of Measure Code. Optionally specify the Weight, Length, Width, and Height.
  3. Highlight the Package.
  4. Under Lines create a new Package Line and specify Item No. and Quantity for each document line you wish to pack into this Package.
