Pack-It integrates with Tasklet’s Mobile WMS app to provide a seamless solution that allows you to pack your items into your vehicles.

Set up Pack-It with Tasklet

You can easily setup the integration of Tasklet with Pack-It from the Mobile WHS Setup page. Enabling the Pack and Ship setup field lets you utilise the Pack-It features from your scanner.

The Mobile Package Types page allows you to sync your Tasklet Unit of Measures with your Pack-It Package Unit of Measures using the Synchronise Package Types action on the page. This will read the Package Types from all your Shipping Providers and populate the table.

The Mobile Package Setup page will then allow you to define specific package types per shipping agent. This will allow you to specify what fields should be collected or if specific default values should be used during packing. You can then verify your package setup using the action on the header to ensure you’ve completed the setup correctly.

How License Plates become Packages

On your scanner, a license plate will be created and assigned to the warehouse shipment once you register a pick. You can select Tasklet’s Pack & Ship feature to view a list of Warehouse Shipments that have License Plates. From the Warehouse Shipment, you will see the Packing screen which allows you to assign a Shipping Agent and define the License Plates. The Mobile Package Setup page determines the required information for each License Plate.

A Warehouse Shipment may have multiple License Plates associated. From the Packing screen, the scanner has the option to move the License Plate contents. More information on how to move items or License Plates on the scanner can be found here.

Once all the license plates have been registered and packing is completed, the Warehouse Shipment can be posted. Within Business Central, License Plates will create Packages.

Viewing the items packed into your License Plates

The contents of your packages will be visible in Business Central from the Consignment Card on the Posted Warehouse Shipment. The License Plate Number will also be visible on the associated Packages, and the contents will show in the Lines section of the Consignment.

If a License Plate contains another License Plate, Business Central will show all the items under the top-level License Plate on the Consignment’s Package Lines. You can also view the contents of each license plate from the Mobile License Plate page.

Manifesting your Consignment when Posting

Although the Pack & Ship functionality offers standalone benefits such as staging, repacking, and printing labels, it also enables seamless integration between Mobile WMS and Deliver-It.

If you have integrated with Deliver-It, you have the option to create and manifest your consignment when you post the warehouse shipment directly from the scanner. The Deliver-It Setup page in Business Central has two fields that determine this, Create Consignment on Posting and Manifest Consignment on Posting.
