Sometimes multiple operators will work at a work center at the same time, or perhaps a single device is shared between multiple operators on the shop floor. In such cases, you may want to record time for each operator separately.

To record time for each operator separately:

  1. Navigate to the Manufacturing Setup page and enable Time Recording by Operator.
  2. Navigate to the Operators page and specify the operators that work on the shop floor
  3. Optionally, you can assign each Operator to a user via the User Setup page. Once assigned, the Operator for the the current logged in user will be automatically used when recording time.

Recording and Posting Differences with Operators

Once you have enabled Time Recording by Operator, your Recording and Posting on the Shop Floor process will be slightly different.

  • On the Shop Floor Execution page, the Start, Pause, and Stop actions will now require an Operator to be specified.
  • When you use the Stop action, any active time recordings for the Routing Line and selected Operator are stopped, and capacity is posted. Output specified in Quantity to Output is also posted.
  • When you use the Finish action, all active time recording for the Routing Line are stopped and capacity/consumption/output is posted, for all Operators.
